I get green flashing dots with video and pictures. Is this a driver problem, a bios problem or is this just early signs of a graphics chip set going bad? I've uninstalled all flash players, video players, and reinstalled the video drivers, but had no luck in getting rid of them.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this. Was just wondering whats going on before I spend money on a graphics card.

Welcome to The Rebels Haven!

The board is a AM2, so I moved you out of the AM2+ Motherboard Sector.

Your issue sounds like a overheating issue. Maybe other users have seen this. I never did....

Thanks, I guess I'll try to run the resolution on a lower setting to see if that helps with overloading the chip set.

So far it has taken them off the desktop, but well see how things go. Thanks again.

How about opening the case and put any kind of fan blowing on it?

It has a 120mm fan on the back of the case. Its got tons of air flow. I just think that the 22" monitor is just to much for the graphics. I only get the green dots watching videos and non with my photos now.

Thanks Polygon, 16 days no green dots. [Smile]

Just reduced the resolution down to 1024x768 from 1680x1050. Never thought it would be a heat issue. Guess I need to get a higher CFM fan for the case.
