The last two BIOS versions (88GBP420 and 88GBP708) support the 6 core processors and are on the 3 major Biostar sites (cn/tw/us).

P.S. It's a great MB. I've been using it since March and love it.

Although I'm a little late to the party in this thread.... [Smile]

I recently picked up a TA785GE-128M on Ebay. After receiving the board, however, it would not POST.... though it was claimed to be in working condition (but I did get it fairly cheap).

Now here is where I'd like to give a tremendous hats-off to Biostar Tech Support!
I contacted them with the serial number and asked them whether it was still covered under warranty, including the fact that I was not the original owner. They responded back within a couple of hours.... letting me know that it would still be under warranty, and to go ahead and submit an RMA request. I did so, and it was approved yet that same day.

To make a long story short, within a total of less than three weeks (including shipping to and from Biostar).... I had a new board (or at least, a very good refurbished one) in a retail box! [Big Grin]

This is the first board that I've had to RMA with Biostar, and I'm extremely impressed with the quick responses and the level of service that I received! Thank you, Biostar Tech Support.... you're doing a great job!!!! [ThumbsUp]

The board is working very well so far.... and I've just bought an X4 840T to check out.... [Wink]

Yep, about 2 years ago I did a Biostar RMA and it went as smooth as can be... It was board that was too old for Newegg, as it was past their time limit, but Biostar sent exchange right out..

I didn't fare as well with the second TA785GE 128M that I bought on Ebay....

Once again, I got it fairly cheap, and it was sold as "parts or not working" (but figuring it may still be under warranty). When I got it, there was no BIOS chip in it.... not a big deal. But upon inspection of the other side of the board, the serial number sticker was torn, and couldn't be read. So, I fired an inquiry off to tech support.... and a reply back informed me that the warranty was void because of the torn sticker.... [Frown]

Anyway, I obtained a BIOS chip for it, and the board works.... but only with one memory slot. I've tried sticks in all the different combinations of two slots, but it'll only complete POST with a single stick in the outer green slot. Otherwise, it stops with one LED off and one LED on, indicating memory error.

Admittedly, buying components on Ebay can be a crap shoot anyway.... but long story short.... lesson learned for not doing my due diligence first.... [Roll Eyes]

And now, for an update....

Well, after a fair amount of mental debate back and forth (a few months worth anyway [HaHa] ).... I decided that I just didn't want to leave this TA785 the way it was. So I contacted Tech Support again, and was informed that I could get an out of warranty RMA for a repair fee. [Cool]

That seemed reasonable enough to me, so off the board went to Biostar.... and three weeks later, I have back a nice, shiny and fully functional board again. [Big Grin]

sweet deal... I should have contacted them when my TForce 550 died and maybe got an upgrade...

These boards run sweet and I love them but I just wish there were more of them as it seems like they only make so many and they sell quick.

I just got aorund to flashing my 780-HP yesterday with the latest BIOS...
