These are for my newest project/hobby They are engineering samples of the AMD 12 core Magny Cours CPU. That's 48 cores combined!!! Now to sell a few things so I can get a 4p motherboard and 32GB of ram for it. I just wish that Biostar made a G34 socket board Edit: host pic locally. Wow.... that'll sure be an impressive system when you get it all put together! What kind of project do you have in mind for that 48 core monster? -------------------- *Biostar T-Series (swapping components WAY too often!)

The project is just the build and the "WoW" factor of building it, but it'll be running F@H or BOINC 24/7 Anyway since I don't have a GF I need to spend my money on something -------------------- MSI 790FX GD70/1090T/8GB TA990FXE/8150/4GB TYAN s8812/4xMCES @ 2.9GHz/32GB SM H8QGL-iF+/4x6128 @ 2.5GHz/32GB

I haven't gotten one yet. AcmeMicro, Provantage sell the Super Micro board I'm interested in, they will run non ECC dimms. Newegg has a 4p TYAN once in a while but it needs ECC Registered dimms for it. This isn't my first foray into 4p land. I sold my 4p TYAN S4985 with x4 8356's and 16GB a couple of months ago, that's what bought these four MC puppies, and I'm in the process of selling my 2p TYAN s2912 with x2 2393 and 8GB of ram now. The nice thing about these ES MC's is that they are multiplier unlocked. 10e and shield have done it in windows and tear is working on it for LINUX. I think 10e said what he got his up to in the AMDZone thread I linked to. edit: found where 10e tells what he got his ES up to 2.6-2.8GHz -------------------- MSI 790FX GD70/1090T/8GB TA990FXE/8150/4GB TYAN s8812/4xMCES @ 2.9GHz/32GB SM H8QGL-iF+/4x6128 @ 2.5GHz/32GB

Here's the MB those puppies are going into along with the ram. That's 16 sticks @ 2GB each for a total of 32GB.
