anybody doing anything with the e5200 wolfdale?

it looks like my next cpu will be either a e5200 or a e7200/7300.

i am leaning toward the e5200 due to its low cost.

$79 for a dual core wolf-dale is just insane--even if it has a low l2--lol

i have had such good results with the e2140 m0's i am sort of sold on the budget cpu's--

after a rather intensive search i was able to locate a few people overclocking these cpu's.

although they can hit 4g speeds they do it with very low FSB and the normal operating range for these cpu's is from 310 to 355 fsb when overclocking. most of these are hitting just shy of 4g in the 3.8/3.6 area which ain't bad for a budget cpu.

they often require more v core as well up to and above 1.4v in some cases.

this cpu has a 12.5 multi so it should overclock at least some on budget/limited fsb Motherboards.

i think i will skip this cpu --even though it is a relative bargin for a wolf-dale and is currently going for as little as $77 shipped.

since my MB and ram can do well over 400 fsb i think i am going to go with either the e7xxx or e8xxx series. i have seen the e7200 for $99 at some places already so i may just pick up one of them for my budget 4g attempt .
