The Tech Report

AMD

Note: this list is under suspicion as it gives wrong information about the Biostar TA770A2+.

Interesting that AMD is confirming that the Biostar TA770 A2+ has a option to disable the TBL-Fix. News to me! [Roll Eyes]

I don’t know how that works, I presume AMD send the correct code to motherboard bios writers and they send the bios back to be confirmed.

If that is so expect newer bios some time soon.

Wishful thinking?

Maybe. It's not in the very latest. It is in the Rebels Haven Advanced Mod BIOS [HaHa]

I know, this explains everything, AMD/Biostar is using Rebels Advanced Mod BIOS, and they should give a link to us so people can get the latest updated bios.

Edited the first post.

Ha! That's good [Big Grin]

The early TA770 A2+ BIOS did not have the TBL-Fix enabled. Starting with the 125 BIOS, the TBL-Fix is enabled.. Possibly due to mis-understanding and language barrier, Biostar is saying the TBL-Fix is addressed... I took the article to say there was a Item to turn the fix on or off. This is not true(except in the RHCF mod)...

Here's a link to a thread I started sometime ago over to the AMDZone Phenom Ready Motherboards It has the ASRock MB list for Phenoms.

I notice I need to edit my post on the BIOS's for Biostar MB's. [Embarrassed]

How about this?

Please read below information before download TLB Utility
TLB Utility is a convenient tool to allow you enable or disable AMD Phenom (B2 stepping) L3 Cache TLB under Windows environment. Enabling TLB can improve CPU performance, but instead, CPU stability may be affected. Therefore, you can make a choice between CPU performance and stability based on your demand.

Why it is not in the bios?

@ Sam2008

This utility by ASRock probably only works with their boards, so I admire your work to bring this to all boards. [ThumbsUp]
