Author Topic: 32 bits athlons vs 64 bits athlons? Aldo New Member Member # 1049 posted                    Hi Im thinking on an upgrade of my computer to a 64 bits mobo and cpu but I not see much advantage,maybe you gain memory speed but that it's syntetic and I not believe that memory speed gain advantage on amy program, so I have many questions: 1-why my cpu (athlon xp 2400) is faster than an athlon64 3000 ?,at least that says sandra and everest on mips and cpu queen tests 2-fasters and news athlons64 are clocked only at 2.4 or 2.6 ghz?
