I've updated my processor from Athloon 2000+ to 2400+ and updated my BIOS to the latest level per http://www.lejabeach.com/ECS/ez.html, however both the BIOS and Linux reports the processor is 1800+ and only gives me 1533 MHz; I expect to get closer to 2000 MHz according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Athlon_XP_microprocessors. My understanding is 2400+ is the fastest K7S5A v 3.1 will support (can anyone confirm?),

Suggestions/pointers on how to get the BIOS to recognize the processor as 2400+?

Welcome to Rebels Haven!

Make sure that the FSB/MEM option is set to 133 in the BIOS. It sounds like it's at the default 100.

Yup, that did the trick. Now showing Athlon XP 2400+ and 1991 MHz. Thanks!
