No... Every board manfacturer implememts standard chipsets differently. Some nF3 or nF4 boards may like the same CPU and memory, but there is no guarantees...
All the nF4 boards I tested, all like different memory brands of TCCD. Even the memory module manfacturers using the exact same TCCD chip, produce modules that play differently, on different boards...
And just recently I'm finding that those nF4 boards all like different CPU's...
For example: The DFI nF4 Ultra does not like the San Diego; The ABIT AN8-Ultra likes the San Diego; The MSI Neo4 does not like early Winchesters; The ASRock 939Dual SATA II likes the E3 Venice over everything else; and the list goes on and on..
The boards, CPU's and memory are running at such high frequencies that very minute' differences in placement of parts, tracks, etc, affect how the board plays.....
I have tested name brand memory that would not even POST on certain boards....
All this is a fact of life in the 64 Bit world as we try to go over 250HTT and approach 3Gig....
