And you thought your board was a problem.. Well you ain't seen nothing!
1) Post at defaults, turn off, switch memory to different brand and the board won't POST until the CMOS is cleared.
2) Once "Safe Mode" kicks in, it never stops until the CMOS is cleared. Even at "Optimized Defaults".
3) I slowly worked my way up to 9X300, 200 1T 2.5-3-3-7 and shut off last night. This morning the board won't POST, and turns itself off, until CMOS is cleared.
4) Any hangup in any program results in a non-POSTing system, that shuts itself off rather then POST, until CMOS is cleared.
5) v16 BIOS knocks the 3.55Vdimm back to 3.4V max...

Well, this is probably going to be my last results post unless the Gods work their magic!
Here's what I have:
No matter what is saved in the BIOS, including Optimized Defaults, upon the next Power On, the board will not POST unless the CMOS is cleared! And that's not even with removing AC from the PSU...
I have had the board, Winnie, and 2X256 G.Skill "LE" to 9X300 @ 200 1T 2.5-3-3-7, 3X.... But I ain't gonna re-set up the BIOS each and every time I turn on!
Monday is going to be RMA for refund day....

In trying to find the "top" with a memory/CPU combo, if the system hangs, trying to re-boot, resets most of the BIOS. With all the Q-Otes settings, it's a real pain...
This board doesn't appear to be a great overclocker, but a average overclocker...
The DFI nF3 Ultra-D OC's a little better, and has a more "standard" BIOS....

Polygon, your results are very similar to what I got with the AN8 SLI Fatality board. The board just will not hold an overclock. I even had the problem at default clock (my board would just shut down abruptly), so I felt returning the board for refund was legit, especially since Abit did not respond to e-mail on the issues.
I got up to 255x11, 2-2-2-6 with ADATA UTT, but was tired of shutdowns and booting up at optimized defaults all the time. I tried disabling all the AGURU stuff in the BIOS to no avail.
As I said earlier, only stable overclock is maybe 75% of the DFI.
The reason Newegg no longer refunds is due to me . They did refund me on the Fatality board, but that probably started the change in policy. Now all issues have to go through the manufacturer. I can't really blame them.

Yes I did, and from experience with the NF7-S with a similar problem (abrupt shutdown and beeping), I made sure I reseated the cooling block on the CPU.
Others have also mentioned the premature shutdown/cold boot problem on the Abit forums.
I got my junk sticks of PQI TCCD to around 270, 2.5-3-3-7, I believe (2x512 at 1T). From the SuperPI 1M times I saw at 255x11, 2-2-2-6, the board didn't demolish the DFI.
I hope to get my 9NPA+ SLI board up soon (maybe tonight). Since I quit buying more ram, I can take the DFI board out now.

I had nothing but premature shutdown, cold boot problems, couldn't save any BIOS settings, beeping, crashing, wouldn't start, until I connected a fan to the "CPU Fan" header...
I could only cold boot from a CMOS Clear.... If I loaded Optimized Defaults and saved, the next power down and then up would shut itself off each and every time before POST...
I was ready to RMA the board until I realized why it was shutting down....
Now, there are no issues what-so-ever other then the board not being a super overclocker... The 1.75Vcore and the 3.55Vdimm are really no help..
Even the brand new DFI nF3 Ultra-D out-clocks this AN8-Ultra which is nF4!!! Too bad...
