The New DFI Lan Party nF3 Ultra-D comes to market almost 9 months after the 1st nF3 Ultra was released by other board makers...

The nF3 Ultra-D appears to have to provide the same overclocking ability of it's big brother, the nF4 Ultra-D, but with a AGP socket...

I've had pretty good success with this board once I got around the BIOS quirks...

Lets post our results, problems, and questions here and and see if we can make a overclocking star out of this...

While many user are finding that they can only go above 260HTT/FSB at 2T CPC... I'm not having that issue with my memory...

I set the Memory timing to 200 1T 3-4-4-11 to test the max FSB of the board;

At 8X335, I could POST and boot into Windows, but test #5 of Memtest had about a 1000 errors... Played with timings but to no avail.

Switched to a Venice 3200 for further testing:

Running 9X310, 3X, 200 1T 2.5-4-3-7 without Memtest errors...

The 1T/2T is really an issue as many users can't run at 1T, only 2T.... Here is a screenie of each:

Note the 2T setting is disabled in the A64 Tweaker:
 -

And here's 2T enabled. Interesting that SuperPI is almost the same...

After 2.5 hours, the system re-booted at 9X280..

At 9X275, I got tired of watching the monitor and stopped the test:

Hi Polygon, lonesome wolf, [40 Beers]

my dreams became true when DFI introduced a NF3 based board like the legendary NF4.

The board is in my hands, but my brandnew San Diego will hopefully arrive tommorrow.

My RAMs are 2x512MB G.Skill 4800 FR.

I hope I can reach 300x9 1:1 at least.

So then ... start testing.
