MSI Neo4 Platinum Ultra Discussion Thread was roken away from another thread...
The Neo4-Ultra arrived after a long cross country trip from California... When it arrived, the very fist thing I did was install the Maze4 Water Block.

To me, a nF3 or nF4 must be able to boot at 300HTT/FSB, 200 1T 2.5-3-6-3 or I don't want it... I was not disappointed with the Neo4-Ultra! I used Clock Gen4 to run up the HTT/FSB while running SuperPI and 305 is it at these mem settings... 310 gave me a "not exact in rnd" error:

I have the Diamond, which is virtually the same. There are new hidden items in the BIOS. The nVidia speed up option is not just an enable disable. You can select percentage over core or memory OR clocks over core or memory. So, BIOS based video overclocking.
I do not know the key strokes to get them to show, the key sequence that worked with the Neo2 was invalid. I just used modbin6 to enable them.
I am running my system 9x300, for 2.7 GHz on my Winnie 3200. Works great. I also paired it with a couple of watercooled 6800 Ultra's clocked at 500/1280 ish. So far, number 2 on the ORB in 03, 05, and FM approved 03 and 05.
The VCore is limited to the chip VID plus 8.3%, OR 1.55v or so. Still, even with the low voltage, it clocks higher and faster than the Neo2 with more voltage. It has been a much better experience than the ASUS.

Entering the "Hidden Settings" is the same as the Neo2. Please review this topic and this topic for instructions on how to get into the "Advanced Chipset Features"....

Thanks for the info. I had tried the settings as you did, and met with failure. I can clock the cards to 18% over with Coolbits, but it locks with even 7% on the BIOS.
Also, looks like the key sequence to unlock the feature still di not work, but it was the Microshaft keyboard. I used a nice beige Compaq keyboard and it works fine.

The sequence is a little tricky to get to work. I don't know why they do stupid stuff like that! Make it visable all the time!
Anyhow, I could not get 3DMark to complete at any setting other then "Disable", but then, what I know about Video card overclocking, I could write on the head of a pin....

The Patriot "XBLK" 2X256 overclocks well on the Neo4 Platinum also, it spite of all the BIOS issues....
I ran:
200 1T 2.5-3-3-7, 300, 4X, Winnie CBBFD 0433 It gave 100 Test #5 errors.... Changing Trcd to fixes the issue... But running 2.5-3-3-7 at maybe 285 will probably yield the same performance...
Running a FX-55, 2X512 runs to 9X315, 3X, 200 2T 2.5-4-3-7...
Very hard to find the top with this board as at 300, 3X won't post with a Winchester...
But as far as I'm concerned, the Patriot "XBLK" is a go for this board .....

All Neo4 Platinum's are based on the NForce 4 Ultra chip. They are one in the same mobo. Follow link to MSI's website it even tells you as such.
